A special evening at the Kois Mansion on the occasion of ANIMASYROS 2026
The historic Kois Mansion opened its doors once again this year as part of ANIMASYROS 2026, hosting a special gathering of people from the international Animation Festival.
In a space where the history of Ermoupoli remains alive, the guests had the opportunity to get to know the mansion's distinctive architecture up close and to admire its unique ceiling painting.
The tour was given by Stavros Kois, who presented the history of the building and the significance of the ceiling painting, as well as the Kois family's connection with the cultural heritage of Syros. This year's gathering was especially symbolic, as it took place in a year when Ermoupoli celebrates 200 years since its founding.
Among the guests were the Ambassador of Estonia to Greece Piret Urb, Thodoris Koutsogiannopoulos, Natalia Argyraki, Alina Kotsovoulou, as well as representatives and partners of ANIMASYROS.
The evening concluded with the hospitality of the guests in an environment that combines history, tradition and contemporary cultural creation. One more gathering that highlighted the Kois Mansion as a living space of culture and openness for Ermoupoli.
The presence of ANIMASYROS at the Kois Mansion is part of a relationship that has developed in recent years, creating each time a special dialogue between the cultural heritage of Syros and contemporary artistic creation.
